For months, fans have been speculating and anxiously awaiting the announcement of the next bachelor. There has been a lot of talk about Chris Soules (Andi's season) and Arie Luyendyk Jr. (Emily's season). On Weds. Aug. 27, ABC confirmed that the likable Iowa farmer will be the one handing out roses next season. Though Chris didn't walk away with Andi in the end, it's safe to say that he's recovered and ready to find love again.
The 32-year-old hunk made quite an impression on viewers everywhere - one who even approached him at the 'Men Tell All' special. Soules once suffered a broken engagement, and had to end a seven-year relationship just months before they were to say their 'I Do's.' Chris has since decided not to settle for "good," but instead to go for "great." Hailing from a town of 427 people, Soules hasn't found it easy to find his dream girl. Doing 'The Bachelor' seems to be a no-brainer for the humble down-home man.
Soules is a family man who calls his dad his role model. Chris' journey to being the next leading man started out a bit unusual as his three older sisters originally submitted him. Like his own family, Chris hopes to have a big one one day - four to six children.
The 6'1" blue-eyed reality star enjoys football, camping and country music. He could drive a tractor before a car (not too surprising), and he attended Iowa State University. He expanded the family business, and helped grow it into a multi-million dollar enterprise. The woman he is looking for will be smart, motivated and confident.....and she's got to learn how to drive a tractor. (Hmmmm...I'm a farm girl myself).
