New exhibit: Small scale skirmishes at Mini Time Machine Museum of Miniatures (Video)

The new temporary exhibit called "Small Scale Skirmishes: Battles from Imagination and Reality" opens at the Mini Time Machine Museum of Miniatures on Tuesday, January 22, 2013. The exhibit features a variety of war themed miniatures including toy soldiers, wargaming figures, and military machines. The exhibit is expected to remain on display through April

The "Small Scale Skirmishes" exhibit features examples of realistic as well as fantasy war models and scenes. Artisans that contributed to the exhibit include Eric Brindza, who specializes in painting metal realistic and fantasy figurines, and David Fischer, who evolved from making models from plastic kits to altering and augmenting kits to creating models from scratch. Other contributors include Nathan Morsbach, Sonoran Desert Model Builders, David Brown, Derek Campbell, Simon Herbert, Dongwook Lee, William O’Malley, and Clara Triem.

About the Mini Time Machine Museum of Miniatures: The Mini Time Machine Museum has a variety of miniature displays including a fairy Enchanted Forest themed area. The museum regularly has events for kids on Saturdays that include making miniature crafts. The museum is open 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays and 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Sundays. The first Thursdays of the month the museum is open until 8 p.m.
