Newt Gingrich coming to Collin County in September

The Collin County Republican Party sent out a notice that Newt Gingrich will be the guest speaker at the 2010 Executive Summit "Policy, Politics and Perseverance" on September 30th, 2010.   There are rumors that Gingrich may run for president in 2012.

The Star Executive Summit brings together individuals and corporations to celebrate their meaningful philanthropic endeavors in Collin County that have a positive impact on the lives of children. 

This year’s event will carry the theme, “Policy, Politics and Perseverance” and features Former Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives, Newt Gingrich.  Mr. Gingrich will speak directly to the solutions to today’s challenges with a focus on the economy, the likely election outcome and the resulting impact on public policy and on small, large businesses and individuals. 

The summit will promote awareness of children’s concerns in the community and also provide a venue to generate funds toward the $1.4 million gifts to the Star Children’s Charity beneficiaries that support children’s health, safety and educational needs.

    While the charity cause is worthy, the man is not.

    He's exactly the reason people feel disconnected from their government.
