One of the first New Year's Resolutions many people make: SAVE MONEY. On Long Island that's difficult BUT people don't have to sacrifice EVERYTHING they love. Readers of Newsday may already know about Newsday's dining and beauty deals, but for those out there that do not know - keep reading to learn about how to save some money and still enjoy great restaurants and spas.
Newsday.com does great deals for local places for dining and beauty. Specific restaurants and beauty places all over the Island offer great discounted certificates people can purchase for 50% off.
On Thursday mornings at 9:00 A.M. the Beauty Deals go on sale. There are multiple companies to choose from. Companies put on certificates worth $25.00, $50.00 and $100.00 - it depends on the company. Then the "deal" is that people can purchase ONE of these certificates for HALF the cost of what it is worth. For example, get a certificate worth $25.00 to Cactus Salon and pay only $12.50. The deals open at 9 A.M. each Thursday, but are available until they sell out, or until the following Thursday - whichever comes first! An added bonus: enter a town name and see what deals are closest to that particular town!
Friday mornings at 9 A.M. are when Dining Deals go up for sale. Restaurants like Pomodorino, Yamato Japanese Restaurant, Kiran Palace and The Grill Room offer gift certificates worth either $25.00, $50.00 or $100.00. Customers can purchase them for HALF! Plus, if you enter in a town, it will show the deals closest to that town.
They accept payments through PayPal, too. If credit card is the preferred method of payment, they take VISA, MasterCard and AMEX.
Enjoy the great deals!
