News on WWE and NBC/Universal relationship, WWE Network, and TNA in Michigan

The big news coming out of this weekend is the negotiating period between WWE and NBC/Universal has ended as the media powerhouse has until Friday to respond to WWE’s final offer (made last week). If the offer is not accepted, WWE will be able to field offers from other television networks for both Raw and Smackdown. Wrestling News World.com has a nice piece up on the situation here.

TNA ran a live event in Battle Creek, Michigan (the hometown of former TNA star Rob Van Dam) on Friday night. The main event saw Mr. Anderson defeating Bully Ray in a 2 out of 3 falls match and TNA World Champion Brutus Magnus going over on Samoa Joe. For the full results, click here.

Finally, KDKA out of Pittsburgh ran a piece on Friday concerning some of the content that will be available on the new WWE Network. That content will include the 199 Over the Edge pay per view (where Owen Hart sadly lost his life) and matches featuring Chris Benoit. The piece has quotes from Stephanie McMahon.
