Katherine Jackson is dealing with the loss of her son and the loss of a $1.5 billion lawsuit. The mother of the late Michael Jackson recently suffered defeat in court against AEG, whom she ruled responsible for her son's death. Katherine's claim of the concert promoter being responsible for hiring the doctor who inevitably murdered her son and hence also responsible for his death didn't fly with a jury who deemed AEG not liable.
Jackson's lawyer told media that his client is remaining strong in the wake of her loss and is not giving up the fight to find justice for her son. "She's obviously disappointed, but she's a very strong woman," said lead lawyer Brian Panish. "She's been through a lot in life, and she's doing the best she can. She only wants what is best for Michael's children, who are her No. 1 priority. There's going to be more to this story. I don't think it's over yet."
Katherine was given guardianship over Michael's children after the King of Pop's untimely death. Michael Jackson died after going into cardiac arrest while in his home on June 25, 2009.
