  • WALA-TV broadcast a special edition of their local entertainment and lifestyle program ("Studio 10") this past Monday, September 1st, dedicated to recordings of some of its past cooking segments (it was titled "The Best of 'In the Kitchen' ").
  • WPMI-TV broadcast part of a special network news report from the National Broadcasting Company (NBC) between segments of their local midday news program ("Local 15 News at Noon") this past Tuesday, September 2nd, since it was being provided at the same time as of the news program's broadcast (the news presenter for the news program (Kelly Jones of WPMI-TV's news department) introduced the special report shortly after NBC started providing it).
  • Two standard-definition cable TV channels for providing alternate programming feeds from the SEC Network (such as feeds with collegiate football games happening at the same time as a game being provided on the main programming feed for the network) were added to the cable TV system operated by Comcast Cablevision of Mobile recently (the numbers for the channels are 748 and 749)*.

*Whenever the channels are not being used to provide alternate programming feeds, they would usually have promotional animated graphics and music for the SEC Network)
