  • WPMI-TV had technical problems at the start of their local 5:00 p.m. news program this past Saturday, June 28th, that caused it to be without audio. This is why it had an early commercial break that lasted from 5:00 p.m. until 5:03 p.m (the problem was solved by then).
  • One of the reporters on the set of WKRG-TV's local 6:00 p.m. news program this past Saturday was someone who rarely ever appeared in WKRG-TV's local news programming over the course of her tenure there (her tenure began last March and her duties included recording video for other reporters at WKRG-TV and narrating her own reports for WKRG-TV without appearing in them). Her name was La-Keya Stinchcomb and you may learn more about her life and career by visiting her LinkedIn profile, her Twitter page, and her Instagram page.

(note about amendment to recent article: the phrase "broadcast facility" in the article titled "News from the Mobile Radio Examiner for Saturday, June 28th, 2014" was changed to "transmitter facility" for the sake of clarity)
