  • WALA-TV and their companion station WFNA-TV were broadcasting the same theatrical movies ("Nick of Time" and "Wayne's World 2") at the same times this past Sunday, July 13th, except WALA-TV started broadcasting each one of them one hour before WFNA-TV (WALA-TV started broadcasting "Nick of Time" at 2:00 p.m. and "Wayne's World 2" at 4:00 p.m.)
  • WALA-TV broadcast a past edition of the local public affairs program "Rise and Shine" this past Sunday (the topic of this past edition is vacations) unlike the previous Sunday (on July 6th) in which they did not broadcast any sort of edition of it at all (neither a past edition nor a new edition). It was also broadcast in both a "letterboxed" format and a "windowboxed" format unlike the last edition to be broadcast by them back on the Sunday of June 29th (it was only broadcast in a "letterboxed" format).
  • WKRG-TV's weekday evening news presenters Rose Ann Haven and Mel Showers each got to substitute for WKRG-TV's weekend news presenter Avery Cotton this past weekend (Rose Ann Haven's substitution took place on Saturday; Mel Showers' substitution took place on Sunday).
