  • WPMI-TV had no local 12:00 p.m. newscast this past Thursday due to their decision to continue broadcasting special news programming from the National Broadcasting Company (NBC) past 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m (the special news programming was also about the airplane in Ukraine).
  • The second halves of the special expanded editions of "NBC Nightly News", "ABC World News", and "The CBS Evening News" for this past Thursday (they were expanded due to the news about the airplane in Ukraine) were not broadcast locally due to the local stations that usually broadcast their regular editions (WPMI-TV, WEAR-TV, and WKRG-TV respectively) not breaking away from their regular programming plans for the time period those second halves were produced (they had local news programming during that time period: 6:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.).

(note: the special editions of "NBC Nightly News", "ABC World News", and "The CBS Evening News" for this past Thursday may be accessed upon selecting their names in the report above this note)
