According to a news release issued by the University of South Alabama in Mobile today, some members of the university made a deal that would allow WMXC-FM in Mobile (99.9; licensed to serve Mobile) to broadcast live collegiate football games involving members of the football team at the university and WNTM-AM in Mobile (710; licensed to serve Mobile) to broadcast live collegiate baseball and basketball games involving members of the baseball and basketball teams at the university and "coach shows" involving the coaches for the football, baseball, and basketball teams at the university (note: WNSP-FM in Mobile (105.5; licensed to serve Bay Minette, Alabama, northeast of Mobile) was the last local radio station to have broadcast live games involving those teams on a regular basis up to the current calendar year).
