Fashion designer Elene Cassis will be heading to Jersey! The gamourous Greek designer will be appearing on the Style Networks hit show, Jerseylicious. A reality show inspired by MTV's success with Jersey Shore. Cassis will be appearing on the last two episodes, airing January 23rd and 30th.
Elene Cassis' show during New York Fashion Week last season has garnered her the type of attention normally reserved for veterans. Her classically chic designs inspire comparisons to such american legends as Bill Blass. Her ss2011 collection (her second since graduating from Parsons The New School for Design) was a showing that exhibited restraint, elegance, and class.
Her crisp coats, flowing floral daydresses, and dramatically simple evening dresses hit just the right note, following the grown-up trend of ladylike dressing set by Chloe and Stella McCartney. Her clothing is already being seen on the backs of celebrities such as Real Housewife Danielle Staub (whose daugher Christine walked an Cassis' runway show) and Olivia Jones from E!'s show Candy Girls. Price points are from $40 to $300.
One has to wonder what will happen when she mixes with the cast of Jerseylicious! The show revolves around a cast of out-spoken characters who work at the hair salon, Gatsby. Led by owner Gayle, the merry band of hairstylists and makeup artists are hungry to enter the fashion industry and keep their salon afloat. Loud, colorful, and out-of-control, there's no telling what they'll do.
Cassis will reportedly be showing her collection on the show in 'an event that will have everyone at the Gatsby on their feet'. Tune in to Jerseylicious on the Style Network, Sunday January 23rd and Sunday january 30th, at 8 pm, EST.
