Remember Mewtwo? It seems that Game Freak sure hasn't let the genetic super-monster slip from memory, because the latest unveiled Pokémon design looks remarkably like it. The official literature accompanying the reveal calls special attention to this, indicating that yes, the two very likely are related in some way.
So what is this new Pokémon exactly? Another Forme in the vein that Game Freak has been so eager to exploit as of late? An evolution of the first generation's infamous endgame Pokémon? Something else entirely meant to lead us astray? The official North American Pokémon Twitter account is teasing another revelation of some kind for next weekend, so in any event we won't need to wait for the October 20 release for more information.
