What does $27 million look like? When it comes to hotels, it looks like the newly reopened Holiday Inn & Suites Atlanta Airport-North, part of the InterContinental Hotels Group family, which spent the significant sum to update all of its 330 guestrooms (including the 140 suites). Each room features a new, more contemporary design dressed in a neutral palette accented by pops of color. Revamped with guests’ comfort in mind, the made-over rooms include upgrades like multiple pillow options, multifunctional showerheads, and advanced-security room-key locks.
The redo affected other areas of the hotel as well. The lobby, for instance, now includes a media lounge, a grab-and-go cafe with a 24/7 market, and an eBar business center. The restaurant was overhauled to include community tables and a chef station. Along with the bar and business center, the restaurant is part of the hotel’s "social living concept" known as the Hub.
Popular with business travelers, the Holiday Inn & Suites Atlanta Airport-North sits at the intersection of Interstate 85 and Virginia Avenue adjacent to Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport. In addition to a free 24-hour airport shuttle, its guests enjoy free Wi-Fi, 12,000 square feet of meeting space, an outdoor pool, patio, and fitness center.
Of its reopening, the hotel claims to have taken an “innovative and new approach to the airport hotel market,” adding “we have built the ultimate experience for the modern traveler—with classic southern style and comfort.”
