In recent weeks, the management team of The Kirkwood Lounge finished their retooling of the restaurant and re-opened as The Gramercy Tap. The new restaurant's kitchen is led by Chef Andrew Meek, one of Des Moines' top chef talents. Meek, formerly of Sage and Sbrocco Wine Bar, is not easing into his new position--he is diving right in. Meek has already planned a big Valentine's Day event.
