The Newfound Region of New Hampshire is made up of the towns of Alexandria, Bridgewater, Bristol, Danbury, Groton, Hebron and New Hampton and is home to the pristine Newfound Lake, hailed as one of the cleanest in the world and considered the deepest lake in New Hampshire. It is an area full of awe-inspiring natural beauty and plenty of outdoor adventures. In addition to the wide variety of unique shops, eateries and handmade artisans you can always find an interesting event or fun thing to do in the center of the granite state.

FRIDAY, AUGUST 29, 2014Newfound Audubon Center – Paradise Point

Description: Paradise Point Hours July 1 – August 31 Monday through Friday 10am – 4pm with extended hours on the weekends http://www.nhaudubon.org/locations/centers/newfound About the Center Located on the beautiful northern shore of Newfound Lake, the Newfound Audubon Center is comprised of three wildlife sanctuaries, the Paradise Point Nature Center, Ash Cottage at Hebron Marsh Sanctuary and the Bear Mountain Sanctuary. During the summer months, the Nature Center offers many programs for all ages, several interactive exhibits, and canoe and kayak rentals. With sanctuary trails open all year, there is always something to do.

Description: SUP Yoga Class 9AM – 11AM at Paradise Point Cost: $30 per individual SUP Yoga classes are traditional Yoga classes taught on the water on floating boards. Your mat is a stand up paddle board; the lake is your studio and all the elements have been invited – sun, wind, water and loons. SUNDAY, AUGUST 24, 20147th Annual Circle Triathlon

Description: The Circle Program will hold its 7th Annual Circle Triathlon on the morning of Sunday, August 31(Labor Day Weekend) at the Founding Sponsor site of Sippican Partners at Riveredge Marina in Ashland, New Hampshire. Three separate races are offered to athletes in individual or team relay style. Families and friends are encouraged to compete together. This event spans the ages and ability levels with last year’s youngest triathlete at age 3 and the oldest at age 74! Compete as an individual, or form a team with each member completing a leg of the race (biking, swimming, or running). Enjoy event race perks such as a free t-shirt,swim cap, water bottle, finisher’s medal, food samples and more! Proceeds from the race will provide financial support and scholarships for the girls participating in the Circle Program. The Circle Program is a non-profit organization (www.circleprog​ram.org) which provides new opportunities for New Hampshire’s disadvantaged girls to develop the skills, courage and confidence they need to handle the challenges in their lives. The Triathlon supports Circle Girls who are provided with a residential summer camp experience and year-round, one-on-one mentoring.
