Newborn 13-year-old photos tell touching tale of adoption

Newborn 13-year-old photos tell a touching tale of adoption and love. Proud adoptive parents Kelli Higgins and her husband welcomed their pre-teen children Latrell and Chanya into their home and into their hearts in 2011, but they didn't have any photos of their bundles of joy as babies, reported People on Feb. 13, 2013.

It was another one of Higgins's eight children who came up with the solution to the missing baby pictures. She suggested that her mom, who just happens to be a professional photographer, stage a photo shoot featuring the "newborn" 13-year-old.

That's exactly what Higgins did. She swaddled her 112-pound son in a blanket and snapped beautiful pics of the boy in the same poses as one would ordinarily see with a newborn baby. The results have taken the Internet by storm, and positive comments are pouring in to the Kelly Higgins Photography Facebook page.

The so-called newborn 13-year-old pictures are lovely, and people are anxious to see Higgins's adopted daughter in a similar set of photos. As for Higgins, she is surprised by all the attention, but she hopes that people will consider adopting an older child when they learn about her family's story of love.

Congratulations to the Higgins family on their son and daughter.
