Newark native Whitney Houston dead remembering her reality TV show

As many fans already know Newark native Whitney Houston died on Saturday afternoon, many fans are remembering her for her great singing voice, she did have a short reality TV show with then husband Bobby Brown called, ‘Being Bobby Brown.’

The reality TV show debuted on ‘Bravo’ on June 30, 2005, and became very highly rated, and restored a degree of celebrity to Bobby Brown. The network initially refused to air the program with Brown as the sole star and only green lighted it when Whitney Houston agreed to be included in the regular cast.

Being Bobby Brown' ran on Thursdays, but on occasion aired several times through the week. The highly-rated show ran for only one season as Whitney Houston did not agree to a second season; thus Brown and the Bravo network could not reach an agreement to continue the show.

Whitney Houston's former husband, Bobby Brown, was reported to be "in and out of crying fits" since receiving the news of Whitney Houston’s death. However, he did not cancel a scheduled performance and within hours of his ex-wife's sudden death, an audience in Mississippi observed as Bobby Brown blew kisses skyward, tearfully saying: "I love you, Whitney".’
