New: Zpagetti yarn (Video)

There is a new "yarn" out there, under the Lion Brand label in the USA. You can find Zpaghetti yarn where Lion Brand is sold. It is recycled scraps from garment manufacturing. The results are a super bulky yarn to knit, crochet, loom knit, machine knit and use for crafting.

Zpagetti is a unique yarn made from offcuts of new fashion garments. It consists of strips of high quality cotton and is ideal for easy and quick projects. The yarn is slightly elastic, strong and sustainable. It is 100% pre-consumer recycled material.

The yarn is a weight category 6 and considered a bulky, roving yarn. It is sold in skeins of 12 oz./340 g (55 yd/50 m) of 92% Cotton, 8% Elastane and knitting needles size 15 and a crochet hook size Q are used.

Strong enough for bags and bowls, Zpagetti is also comfortable enough next to the skin for jewelry and accessories. Because the material is repurposed, every colorway is a limited edition, so your creations will always be one-of-a-kind. The yarns are made into small lots of solid and assorted colors.

Here are free patterns to use with Zpagetti; crochet baskets, Milano handbag and the Nimbus clutch to knit for starters. Try it and let us know how you liked it.
