As the song goes “The times, they are a changing” and they are, especially the Zodiac with the addition of Ophiuchus, November 11 to December 17 and the Blogosphere is all a-twitter with this "discovery."
The original signs of the Zodiac, created around 3,000 years ago, at least that what everyone assumes. There were actually 13 signs and the Babylonians discarded Ophiuchus to make an even 12.

An astronomy professor at Minneapolis Community and Technical College, Parke Kunkle, explains Ophiuchus as the gap between the astrological and the astronomical view due to the the wobble of the Earth, also called "procession".

The Red Thread tells us: The Sun, for 19 days of the year, travels through the star constellation 'Ophiuchus' before entering Sagittarius from Scorpius.
Fred Hoot of Liberal Fair comments on the changes in politics that we can expect: That goat never gave up on the difficult clime to the top and survived when others less determined and prepared have tumbled down that hill and killed their political career. Go Sarah!
Ophiuchus is often referred to as the “secret Zodiac Sign.”
It is also referred to the unlucky sign and the snake handler.
A friend of mine has been claiming for years that he is a Gemini and he received only the better half of that sign.
He is now a Taurus. Oh well, many people just look at astrology as a bunch of Taurus anyway.

It has to do with the wobble of the Earths rotation, The new Zodiac has always been there Its just now viewable. there are tons more. Take an astronomy/ astrology class you'll find that the Signs in which we claim to have already have been outdated for centuries
The Astronomers featured in the recent news are publicizing a system of astrology that has been known of for thousands of years now known as Sidereal Astrology, as if it were something new. It is a less popular system, accounting for a shift in alignment with the stars caused by axial precession. The popular system we've used since ancient times till now is Tropical Astrology and knowingly disregards precession. It's a matter of two distinct systems that measure the zodiac differently. Neither one is more "correct", however the Tropical system is the widely used norm in the western world, and professional astrologers are not likely to change that.
