New York Yankees: Derek Jeter set for MLB Spring Training return in coming days

The name Derek Jeter screams everything that you could ever imagine being good about the New York Yankees. According to ESPN sources on Feb. 26, 2013, the veteran infielder is set to return to Spring Training for the club once again within the next ten days.

Jeter suffered a broken ankle during last season's American League Championship Series in October.

Yankee's General Manager, Brian Cashman claims that the player will return to training on March 10, 2013 with 19 games left in the Spring Training schedule to see the player prepare for the club's April 1, 2013 season opener against the rival Boston Red Sox.

Jeter himself also seemed confident that he would be ready for action in the coming two weeks:

When I first got here, I was a couple of weeks behind what everyone else was doing when I first got here, so on that schedule, yeah, I don't see any reason why not. I don't think anything's set in stone, but it seems like it's attainable.

The Yankees need Jeter's leadership in their attempt to continue to push for another World Series title before the legendary No. 2, hangs up his glove and cleats.
