New York State Senator wants Alec Baldwin suspended from all projects

Malcolm Smith, a New York State Senator, is asking that both TV and movie producers suspend Alec Baldwin from all projects. Smith is upset that the allegations about Baldwin hurling racial slurs could possibly be true, according to TMZ on Feb. 18.

Smith was definitely outraged to hear the news that Baldwin not only hurled racial slurs but also threatened the female reporter, Tara Palmeri. Remember these are still only allegations and nothing has surfaced showing this encounter is true.

Smith has also said he is contacting NBC and is going to request that they make Baldwin attend anger management classes. Baldwin just recently signed a two year TV deal with Universal, which is part of NBC, back in December.

State Senator Malcolm Smith doesn’t exactly have a clean background. He was investigated for his link to a Hurricane Katrina charity and was accused of exploiting the tragedy's victims, but he was never charged. Smith should also know that you are innocent until proven guilty. Do you think Smith is jumping the gun by making all these requests against Alec Baldwin? Sound off in comments below.
