The Great New York State Fair wraps up the late summer fair schedule with a 12-day run at the State Fairgrounds in Syracuse, Thursday, August 22nd through Monday, September 2nd.
Among the favorite features of the NYS Fair are the free concerts at Chevy Court with some of today’s top artists, more concerts and motorsports events in the Grandstand, the New York Wine Village featuring samples and shopping, the animal competitions that happen daily, and, of course, tasty and unique fair food.
Purchasing your NYS Fair tickets in advance can save you 40-percent - $6 advance tickets are available until August 21st at hundreds of ticket outlets around the state and at the State Fair Box Office in Syracuse – visit www.nysfair.org for outlets in the Buffalo-Niagara region. Discounted midway ride tickets - $14 for $24 tickets – can also be purchased at the ticket outlets in advance of the NYS Fair. Discounts are also available for seniors (free admission on August 26th and 27th), veterans and active duty personnel with military ID (free admission on August 29th), and kids 16 and under and Native Americans (free admission on August 30th).
