Royce Hall - UCLA is the place to be on Friday, May 7th and Saturday, May 8th at 8pm. The innovative and interactive Cedar Lake Contemporary Ballet will present four shows by four different choreographers. The company combines daring athletics with an integration of ballet into contemporary and popular forms.

Orbo Novo (New World) - Choreography by Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui
Belgian choreographer Cherkaoui explores themes of balance, perspective, loneliness and enlightenment inspired by Jill Bolte Taylor's book My Stroke of Insight.
Saturday, May 8th
Sunday, Again – Choreography by Jo Strømgren
Set to Johan Sebastian Bach, Strømgren tells the simple story of a couple taxed by the quirks of cohabitation by weaving abstract movement patterns with baroque musical ornamentation.
Ten Duets on a Theme of Rescue - Choreography by Crystal Pite
Set to music from the film Solaris, Canadian choreographer and dancer Pite explores movement that embodies the spirit of liberation.
frame of view - Choreography by Didy Veldman
Tinged with irony and humor and set to a varied score, acclaimed Dutch choreographer Veldman investigates how emotion can energize and overtake the body.
