A New York man is getting a lot of attention after he built a large unique snowman in front of his Camillus home.
CNY Central TV reported Monday that Rick Prahl created what he calls his "grape ape" snowman in his front yard.
Prahl says it took him two days to build this creation.
This is the eighth year he has built such an unique snowman at his home.
He got an early start this year due to all of the snowfall so far this season and says there is a chance he could build another one before the winter ends.
The town, just north of Syracuse, has received around 40 inches of snow so far this season with most of that coming during the month of December.
Unfortunately, some significant melting of the snow ape is likely over the next several days as the region transitions into a temporary warmer weather pattern with high temperatures climbing from the mid and upper 30s into the mid and upper 40s by this weekend.
