The New York Jets entered the 2014 NFL Draft with a glaring need at the safety position. On Thursday night the team addressed that need with the selection of Calvin Pryor (Louisville) with the 18th pick.

Calvin Pryor is a ferocious hitting safety that has great range and coverage skills. Pryor will be a true enforcer in the secondary and will be used in a variety of roles by head coach Rex Ryan.

Next up for the Jets: There are several quality wide receivers remaining on the board including Marqise Lee, Jordan Matthews, Allen Robinson, Davonte Adams, and Cody Latimer. Also keep an eye on tight ends Jace Amaro, Troy Niklas, Austin Seferian-Jenkins.

Remember this is a deep draft class and with 11 picks remaining the Jets have several options to upgrade the talent base on the team.
