The New York Islanders will face the high power San Jose Sharks tonight at home at Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum. The Islanders are coming off an amazing come-back win Monday in which, down by 3 goals, they scored 7 goals in the third period against the Vancouver Canucks to win 7-4. It was also an historic night as the team tied a franchise record for most goals in a period.

Fans are surely hoping for more fire power from the team that returns home after a four game Canadian road trip. They’d probably settle for what they witnessed back in February against the Toronto Maple Leafs in which the team last one at home 5-4 in an overtime thriller. It will be back to back games at home as the Isles host Buffalo tomorrow night.

Young call-up center Anders Lee has excelled tallying 7 points in 7 games (5 G, 2 A) since joining the team against Toronto on Feb. 27. While Lee has been getting much of the attention, center Ryan Strome, who was called up again Feb. 27 against Toronto, has quietly tallied 5 points in 7 games since his most recent call-up.
