New York Islanders announce 2012-13 Regular Season schedule

It is official fans, hockey has returned, here is the 2012-13 regular season schedule for the New York Islanders who are set to have their home opener on Saturday, Jan 19 against the New Jersey Devils at 7:00 p.m.

The 48-game schedule will feature five meetings for the Islanders against their division-rival Devils and Pittsburgh Penguins. The Islanders will also take on rivals the New York Rangers and the Philadelphia Flyers four times apiece.

The first Battle for the Big Apple will take place on Thursday, March 7 at 7 p.m. and Saturday, April 13 at 7 p.m. New York will also hold their wildly popular Super Hero celebration game on January 21, when they take on the Tampa Bay Lighting at 1 p.m.

Superhero Celebration will feature meet-and-greet opportunities with Marvel Characters Captain America, Spider-Man, Iron Man, The Incredible Hulk and Thor.

Fans wanting to purchase single-game tickets can do so on Monday, January 14 at 10 a.m., while those wanting to purchase full and partial ticket plans can do so now. For more information on purchasing tickets fans can contact the Islanders at 1-800-882-ISLES.
