New York's Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Fall 2012 falls over Valentine's Day weekend surely to the delight of many women.
Today the "Big Apple" hosted many kick off events such as the amfAR New York Gala hosted by the ever-fashionable Sarah Jessica Parker. The event raised funds for future AIDS research and honored Elizabeth Taylor who was not only a great fashionista, but made a great contribution towards amfAR's mission to fight against AIDS. Another admirable Fashion Week launch event was the unveiling of The Heart Truth's Red Dress Collection 2012. The Heart Truth, sponsored by the National Heart Lung and Blood Institute, created the Red Dress as a symbol for women and heart disease awareness in 2002 and continues to promote it each year with a new collection worn by celebrity models.
