When Karlie Kloss opened Carolina Herrera fall 2014 show it was clear that the collection is going to be uber feminine, ladylike and elegant. With a black boiled, round shouldered wool coat and pony skirt, sleek hair and lamp shade hat (reminiscent of Doris Day) Kloss set up the scene for a refined collection. For Fall 2014, Mrs Herrera plays with volume, proportions and her signature geometric patterns to create a very polished collection. There are soft constructed voluminous jackets, structured sheaths and dresses in wool, flannel and jacquards and red-carpet ready gowns in soft georgette, slik and organza. The color palette ranges from black and ivory to navy, turquoise, mahogany, bright red and cobalt blue. The embroidered crystals, cut appliqués and hand painted all over patterns give Carolina Herrera Fall 2014 collection a fresh spirit while retaining the signature aristocratic style of the designer.
