For as long as I can remember Nautica has been apart of the American contemporary fashion culture. There was a time when they were the talk of the town, things have a changed a bit since then but the brand that began in 1983 has always managed to stay true to their mission (a modern American classic, offering quality, design and value while capturing the essence of an active, adventurous and spirited lifestyle). The Black Sail 2014 Men’s collection continues their mission but adds a bit of flare for the spring.
The Black Sail Men’s Spring 2014 is as always full of color and character. The modern waterman inspired this collection. There’s a lot of tonal color blocking and asymmetrical piecing. Though the collection is full of color, the colors used are a bit repetitive. Some of the collection is geared for the early part of spring, a nice array of colorful sweaters and jackets. Bright colors over a palette of neutral tones. Innovative fabric details that include lightweight tech, high performance stretch, rubber-coated cottons, shape memory nylons, lux knit active.
