What do you do at those moments when you must have a cupcake at 2 a.m.? If you live in New York, that will no longer be a problem. According to ABC News on March 26, New Yorker City folks now have their very own cupcake ATM machine on the Upper East Side.

The new cupcake ATM works just like a bank ATM and is a new feature of the Sprinkles Cupcake Bakery located at 780 Lexington Ave.

It's easy to use. You order your cupcake, swipe your card and, voila, a fresh cupcake served up in a decorative box any time you’d like. There are currently nine flavors to tempt your taste buds.

  • Black & white
  • Chocolate coconut
  • Cuban coffee
  • Dark chocolate
  • Lemon meringue
  • Red velvet
  • Strawberry
  • Vanilla
  • Vanilla milk chocolate

You get your custom cupcake in about 10 seconds from the time you swipe your card. The ATM is restocked several times per day, guaranteeing you a fresh cupcake every time. Your cupcake will cost you $4.25. You can purchase up to four cupcakes per order.

So the next time you’re in New York City and want a special sweet treat in the early morning hours, you've got it covered!
