The nonprofit seeks an exceptional writer and experienced grants professional as a development associate for foundation and government gifts to help generate more than $5 million in annual revenues that support a broad range of artistic programs.
The position reports to the director of institutional giving and serves as the primary grant writer for the organization. The position also generates copy for institutional communication projects.
The development associate is responsible for preparing grant requests, including financials and other supporting materials. The position works closely with senior staff and project managers in every department, and has responsibility to marshal resources across a large organization. The development associate also is required to attend performances and special events that are scheduled for evenings and weekends, with many of these activities scheduled during the summer.
