New Yellow Submarine collectible is 3D scale model with adjustable periscopes

One of the newest Beatles "Yellow Submarine" related items is a 3D scale model being offered by Factory Entertainment. The company calls it "the most detailed and accurate 3D model of the Yellow Submarine ever produced."

The officially licensed Beatles product measures 20” in length, is made of high quality resin and ABS components and features an opening front and rear hatches that reveal specially designed interiors, synchronized rotating twin propellers, adjustable periscopes and portholes featuring YS movie characterizations of John, Paul, George and Ringo.

The company says it is taking pre-orders for a limited time at www.factoryent.com. Suggested list price is $599.

Each scale model will be packaged in a presentation box and include a display stand, mirrored display base, numbered limited edition plaque and a certificate of authenticity. The first 500 customers to place a pre-order will receive an "Captain Fred" figurine at no extra charge.

Wow, the good news is this will be a collectors item in the year 2075...the bad news is.. I'll be dead.

At $599.00 I wonder if Paul or Ringo Know about this. I know that John used to get angry when he thought someone was ripping off the name The Beatles.. Its a rip off. For that price it should be twenty feet long with life size figures. No one should buy item !

$599 before tax and shipping and handling???? For that kind of money the damn thing better be big enough for me to ride in and actually work underwater and come with directions to Pepperland...someone's living in a fantasy world and luckily it ain't me...what a load of bollocks!!!

As if the other batch of new 3D Yellow Sub stuff and the set of 4 Collectors Tins wasn't enough! Now this?

For $600 for me to part with, it would have to be an official Apple released, "day by day" multiple disc DVD/Bluray Set of the "Let It Be" sessions! Sad thing is.....that'll never happen! Just kinda makes you wonder what the powers that be are thinking?
