New Years Resolutions with your Dog

New Year's resolutions can come to an end quickly, unless...you include your dog!  She will remind you daily of your commitment to yourself and your goals, and probably even bring you her leash for that gentle push.

The South End offers numerous opportunities for New Year's resolutions such as:

  • exercising at Peter's Park ~ Take a jog to the park with your dog, then play with her in the enclosed dog park or join DoggieDayTrippers (based in the South End) to take day or weekend hiking, jogging, or other fun trips with your pup and others.
  • volunteering ~ You can volunteer to help dogs at the Animal Rescue League (ARL). Fill out an application today! You can also learn how to volunteer WITH your dog at places like Children's Hospital.
  • training your dog ~ ARL offers dog training classes that last six weeks and will result in a more trusting relationship between you and your pup.
  • meeting new people ~ DoggieDay offers breed-specific play groups that meet on a scheduled basis for your pup to socialize with their canine friends and you to meet new people.
