As Dallas gets ready to ring in the new year, several area hotels are gearing up for what promises to be an exciting evening of parties and celebrations to welcome 2012. To help you narrow down your choices for Dallas new year's eve parties, I've compiled this list of some of the hottest spots for your midnight kiss.

Ghostbar at The W
If you're 21 or older, head to Victory Park for a party on the 33rd floor of The W Hotel. This one will definitely appeal to the young and trendy crowd, as DJ Enferno will be mixing beats all night long. Right now, tickets are about $75 to start, but will likely go up in the coming days. In fact, you'll be lucky to get your hands of Ghostbar Dallas New Years Eve tickets as the event approaches, as it is expected to sell out.

Mystique at The Mansion
If you're looking for more of a black tie affair for your 2012 new year's plans in Dallas, try Mystique at the mansion at 5540 North Forty Place. Live bands and catering by Wolfgang Puck are sure to make this an extravagant occasion you won't soon forget. You can expect decadent foods, an in-house casino, the finest champagne and plenty of swag to leave with. And you'll feel good knowing it's all for charity. Proceeds from the event go towards ovarian cancer awareness. Tickets start at $100, although VIP packages are available for up to $2,000.

Take Flight at The Aloft Hotel
Looking for something a little more affordable but not short on style and class? How about Take Flight 2012 at The Aloft Hotel on Young Street. For just $45, you can party from 9 p.m. until 6 in the morning to the best music of 2011. Best of all - even the 18 to 21 crowd is welcome after 2 a.m.

DFW Soiree at The Omni Downtown or Keith and Margo's Party at The Omni Park West
The Omni Hotels in the DFW metroplex don't hold back. Both the Omni Park West and the Omni Downtown are hosting big celebrations for those 21 and older. Tickets start between $99 and $139, and are worth every penny. The soiree will be a traditional, black tie occasion with a silent auction, casino, red carpet photos, live music and a champagne toast. Keith and Margo's Party is in its 21st year, and will include party favors, a balloon drop and a comical mystery murder theater.
