New years eve high school sports schedule

The Mount Desert Island (MDI) Trojans will travel to the Bangor Auditorium this afternoon for a class b battle against the John Bapst Crusaders.

The game can be heard live on 1370 AM or online at am1370.com starting at 1:10 p.m.

MDI comes into the game with a 5-1 record. The only loss was a close contest against class b powerhouse Presque Isle.

John Bapst (1-4) comes in on a four game losing streak.

If you are in the northern part of the state and would like to take in some basketball on the final day of 2012 you will have that option.

The Caribou Vikings will host the Foxcroft Ponies in an afternoon full of basketball.

Athlete of the week winner Alexa Massey and the lady vikings will go for their first victory against the lady Ponies. That game is scheduled for 1:30 p.m.

The Foxcroft and Caribou boys basketball teams will meet with a scheduled 4:30 p.m. start.

Fort Kent (5-1) will travel to Houlton (2-1) for a class C girls game that will have plenty of heal points for the winner.

The high flying Washburn boys basketball team will go for a 5-0 start to the season when they travel to Southern Aroostook for a 1:30 p.m. scheduled start.

The Old Town Coyotes boys basketball team will look for their fourth straight victory when they travel to Hermon for a 2:30 p.m. contest against the Hawks. That game can be heard on 620 AM or online at zoneradio.com
