The Burpee Museum of Natural History is putting on an outstanding event with their sister cities (6). The six cities are Schwieberlingren, Germany; Vaux-le-Pe'rail, France; Brovary, Ukraine; Changzhou, China; Borgholm, Sweden; Ferentino, Italy; Cluj-Napoca, Romania; Tokmok, Kyrgyastam; and Tasza'r, Hungary. The hours are from 1:00 to 5:00 pm.
This is for the entire family and activities for them to participate. The New Year's celebration will be with activities from each of the six sister cities around the world.
The Rockford Dance Company will perform on the 3rd floor, there will be a parade to music, shouting "Happy New Year" parading up to the 3rd floor.
A Native American display is featured on the 3rd floor. A special display of items from the museum's permanent will be on display.
The price for the activities is a fee of $5.00 for the festivities, and free to the members. The Rick Nelson display is being offered for a fee of $10.00 per adult. Free parking is available from the hours of 10:00 am to 5:00 pm.
