New Year sewing resolutions

This month starts a New Year and the promise to make changes in our lives. We make all kinds of resolutions. The most common ones involve losing weight or making more money. Some of us make resolutions to build relationships or to learn something new. The latter two can be fulfilled through your creative sewing skills. Whether you are a new or experienced sewist, here are some tips to meet your New Year resolutions.

Learn how to sew a new fabric
Some of us can’t afford real suede, leather or fur. But you can still get the look and feel by purchasing the faux versions. Click here to learn how to use these fabrics and where to purchase locally.

Join a sewing club or group
How many of your friends share your love of sewing? If not many, sewing groups are a good way to meet people that share your passion. Click here for clubs or groups in the Dallas area.

Take a class
Take a class to learn how to sew or to learn new sewing sills. There are many classes from general sewing to more specialized class such as embroidery. Click here for list of January classes.
