For reenactors who have been participating in reenactments large and small for years and years and years – resolve to get through the Gettysburg 150 in July 2013 before you give up the sport forever; to lose a few pounds to get into the old uniform without having to call the tailor for the BIG event; and to do several educational programs for the year.
For enthusiasts – resolve to get their tickets early for Gettysburg 150 – the BIG one!
For Civil War authors – resolve to continue to crank out meaningful Civil War books and to complete accurate research, unlike the mistake-ridden Lincoln book by Bill O’Reilly.
Wives and significant others – resolve to plan the rest of the year after Gettysburg 150 and get on with life after years and years and years of faithfully supporting your man.
Civil War reenactment organizers – resolve to make Gettysburg 150 the best ever – because it is going to be the last big one for a long time as all the old soldiers are going to “retire” from this long war.
For Civil War Round Tables – resolve to find some new and different programs for 2013, if available.
For U.S. Colored Troops supporters – resolve to make 2013, the Sesquicentennial of the formation of the U.S. Colored Troops, a huge year in spreading their message about the 200,000 colored Union soldiers that almost no one knows about.
For film producers not named Stephen Spielberg – resolve to produce quality Civil War movies for the big screen that can be successful in their own right without being compared to “Lincoln”.
