Love For All, Hatred For None - Message so simple and pure. There is a divide between the lay person’s perception of Islam and its true teachings. Many may harbour concerns about Islam, perhaps through ignorance or through the portrayal of events in the media. It may surprise some but the portrayal of Islam in the media is of greatest concern to Muslims than anyone else, particularly when it leads to the association of deeds and values that we know are at complete odds with the Islamic faith. Such concerns are not new and it was in responding to questions about Islam that the third successor the founder of the Ahmadiyya Muslim community underlined that according to Islam human beings are all equal before God. He added that:
“Islam teaches us to live with mutual love and affection and with humility. It teaches us no distinction between a Muslim or a non-Muslim. My message to everyone is that you must have ‘Love for all, Hatred for none!’ [Review of Religions, March 2008]
This has since become the unique motto of the Ahmadiyya Muslim community in its work to promote the true and peaceful teachings of Islam. It reflects the community’s long held views on the rejection of violence and terrorism, the separation of mosque and state and the promotion of Human Rights including complete freedom of religion for all.
Ahmadi Muslims strive to live up to the simple but profound message of Islam that can be summed up in ‘ Love for all, Hatred for None‘.
The values of Loyalty, Freedom, Equality, Respect and Peace are key to the foundation that underpins this motto and reflect the true Islam that so often gets lost in the mist of world events.
Qadian (Punjab), Dec 29 : The world-wide Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama'at has sent out a message of "Love for All, Hatred for None", to the world. Addressing the inaugural session of the three-day Annual Convention “Jalsa Salana” held in Qadian in Punjab's Gurdaspur district, India, Maulana Inam Ghouri, the Chief Secretary of the Community, said that respecting all faiths and their founders is one of the core values of the community. It is these values that will promote mutual respect and interfaith harmony.
People from 31 countries, including more than 5000 delegates from Pakistan, are participating in this convention. 121st Jalsa Salana Qadian was attended more than 18,000 people. The convention venue was filled with people of varied hues, cultures and nationalities. The whole Jalsa Salana Qadian was broadcasted through Ahmadiyya Muslim Television (MTA).
The Ahmadiyya Muslim Community is a dynamic, fast growing international revival movement within Islam. Founded in 1889, it spans over 195 countries with membership exceeding tens of millions. Its current headquarters are in the United Kingdom. Established in the UK since 1913, the community built London’s first mosque in 1926 (The London Mosque in Putney). Now it has one hundred branches across Britain and have opened a number of mosques including the landmark Baitul Futuh mosque in south London, which is the largest in western Europe.
Ahmadiyya Muslim Community is the only Islamic organization to believe that the long-awaited Messiah has come in the person of Mirza Ghulam Ahmad(as) (1835-1908) of Qadian. Ahmad(as) claimed to be the metaphorical second coming ofJesus(as) of Nazareth and the divine guide, whose advent was foretold by the Prophet of Islam, Muhammad(sa). Ahmadiyya Muslim Community believes that God sent Ahmad(as), like Jesus(as), to end religious wars, condemn bloodshed and reinstitute morality, justice and peace. Ahmad’s(as) advent has brought about an unprecedented era of Islamic revival. He divested Islam of fanatical beliefs and practices by vigorously championing Islam’s true and essential teachings. He also recognized the noble teachings of the great religious founders and saints, including Zoroaster(as), Abraham(as), Moses(as),Jesus(as), Krishna(as), Buddha(as), Confucius(as), Lao Tzu and Guru Nanak, and explained how such teachings converged into the one true Islam.

We believe that Islam, which was established over 1,400 years ago by the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him), is a universal religion of peace, with a simple but perfect message for mankind to develop and maintain a living relationship with a living God and to live in perfect harmony with all.
This message was revived by the founder of our community, Hadhrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad (peace be upon him) and we are the only community of Muslims to have accepted him as the Promised Messiah and Mahdi who was prophesied for this age.
From the outset he repeatedly emphasised the need for us to be mindful of our duty to God and His creation and to reflect our commitment to peace in our daily lives. He rejected the concept of a violent jihad, reminded us of the equality of mankind and of our duty to care for the needy. He also underlined the need to respect all religions, to abide by the law of the land and to be loyal to the government of the country in which we live.
One Community, One Leader: Since the founder’s demise in 1908 Ahmadiyya Muslim Community has been led by a series of Caliphs or spiritual leaders, the present being His Holiness Hadhrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad (aba), Khalifatul Mesih V, this form of global leadership is another distinctive feature of this community. He continues to relay the message of peace to the corners of the earth, a message that has been reflected in action by the community through humanitarian efforts by men, women and the youth of the community. In fact the members of the community willingly give time and money for relief work even in the remote parts of the globe, to help those in need regardless of creed or colour.
Mosques of Ahmadiyya Muslim Community remain open for all, to help breakdown barriers and build trust, integration and cohesion by enabling a better understanding of Islamic beliefs and their role in modern life. It organises regular peace symposiums and run a free to view satellite channel MTA International (available on Sky 787) dedicated to spreading harmony among and between all people regardless of faith and background, further underlining our openness as a community that promotes integration based on mutual respect.
Ahmadiyya Muslim Community is not funded by any country, government or organisation. It is its belief that to do good works requires to make sacrifices of time and money and that is why the Ahmadiyya Muslim community is entirely self-funding. Members donate willingly to support the work of the community as well as a to a whole host of charitable and humanitarian activities that we carry out – almost all of which are run by volunteers.

Ahmadiyya Muslim Community is the leading Islamic organization to categorically reject terrorism in any form. Over a century ago, Ahmad(as) emphatically declared that an aggressive “jihad by the sword” has no place in Islam. In its place, he taught his followers to wage a bloodless, intellectual “jihad of the pen” to defend Islam. He cautioned against irrational interpretations of Quranic pronouncements and misapplications of Islamic law. He continually voiced his concerns over protecting the rights of God’s creatures. Today, it continues to be an advocate for universal human rights and protections for religious and other minorities. It champions the empowerment and education of women. Its members are among the most law-abiding, educated, and engaged Muslims in the world.
Ahmadiyya Muslim Community is the foremost Islamic organization with a central spiritual leader. Over a century ago, Ahmad(as) reminded his followers of God’s promise to safeguard the message of Islam through khilafat (the spiritual institution of successorship to prophethood). It believes that only spiritual successorship can uphold the true values of Islam and unite humanity. Five spiritual leaders have succeeded Ahmad(as) since his demise in 1908. It’s fifth and current spiritual head, Mirza Masroor Ahmad, resides in the United Kingdom. Under the leadership of its spiritual successors, Ahmadiyya Muslim Community has now built over 15,000 mosques, over 500 schools, and over 30 hospitals. It has translated the Holy Quran into over 70 languages.
