New Year’s Eve is a night full of festivities, parties and activities to celebrate the end of the current year and welcome the arrival of the new year. However, many of these options tend to be too expensive for someone on a tight budget. Well, if you're in the Los Angeles area, there’s no need to stay home even if you can't spend a fortune. Ring in 2014 at any of these 5 celebrations, on a budget:

1. NEW YEAR’S EVE LA
This FREE event starts at 6:00pm in Grand Park (200 North Grand Ave.). As we count-down to 2014, you will enjoy a variety of performers, art installations, animated projections, etc. For more detailed information, check out their website.

2. World Famous 2014 New Year’s Eve Pub Crawl
Ring in 2014 at the best Hollywood bars along the Walk of Fame. Registration is from 6:00 p.m.-10:00 p.m. There will be many drink specials, like $4 Drafts and, 2 for $14 Champagnes. Then, keep celebrating with free admission to the NEW YEAR AFTER PARTY AT CASHMERE NightClub! *Must be 21+ to participate.

3. CityWalk Rocks NYE's
Celebrate the arrival of the New Year at Universal CityWalk! With fireworks viewing areas from all concert sites, the event features live music and DJs beginning at 9:00 p.m. with a simulcast of the New York City ball drop. Most areas are standing room only. Tickets are $30 per adult, $15 for kids under 48" tall; $75 per car -includes admission for everyone in car- at self parking, $100 for valet.

4. 3rd Annual Black & White Affair
Welcome 2014 at Couture Los Angeles, starting at 9:00 p.m. on December 31, 2013. Get dressed in your best Black & White attire and join this party at the Innovative Heated Patio, Bar & Lounge, to dance the night away. 5. New Year's Eve in Downtown Long Beach
Downtown Long Beach will host a celebration this New Year’s Eve, with two incredible events beginning at 5:00 p.m. New Year’s Eve in Downtown will begin with a family-friendly event in the Waterfront Amphitheater at Rainbow Harbor (Free) followed by a high-energy street party on Pine Avenue. This party will start at 8:00 p.m., with tickets going for about $15-20 (on sale now, online).

No matter where and how you plan to receive the New Year, make sure you don’t drink and drive! Be safe and remember that the Metro will provide free service the night of New Year’s Eve, from 9:00 p.m. until 2:00 a.m.
