Here we are in the middle of the 12 Days of Christmas, and it’s time for the jackpot question of the week. What are you doing New Year’s Eve?
Many of the festive holiday-themed shows currently playing in town are hosting a special New Year’s celebration for patrons attending on December 31st.
At Tipping Point Theatre in Northville, the final performance of “Ebenezer” concludes with appetizers catered by Rocky’s of Northville, beer, wine, and a toast close to midnight. Tickets for the New Year’s Eve performance are $75 each, $50 of which is tax-deductible. Cheers!
Performance Network Theatre in Ann Arbor is enjoying a successful run of “Jerry’s Girls” through January 5, 2014, with a special New Year’s Eve performance followed by a champagne toast at midnight. Tickets are $27 - $46.
Purple Rose Theatre Company is hosting Jeff Daniels, “Live and Unplugged,” but the December 31st, 3 p.m. show is currently sold out and there are only a few remaining seats left for the December 31st, 8 p.m. performance. PRTC suggests that you call for possible cancellations or to get on the DAY OF THE SHOW waiting list; call 734.433.7673 for more details.
And if you just want to get crazy (or can’t resist a great deal) check out Planet Ant in Hamtramck, which is reprising its classic, “Bringing Up Baby New Year.” Just $15* gets you two tickets to the hilarious holiday hit and two free slices of pie with your pre-show dinner purchase at Hamtramck's Rock City Eatery. Plus, on December 31, your purchase will also get you into the post-show New Year’s party, complete with champagne toast, at Rock City Eatery. Sounds just about perfect. * Note that offer must include dinner purchase. Regular tickets are available for $10 each.
However you choose to bring in the New Year, we wish you safe passage and encourage a resolution to see more live theatre in 2014!
