New Year's eve accident claims one life

Norcross GA

Just 27 minutes before midnight, 12/31/2010, a single vehicle accident ended the life of Jermaine Lyn of Snellville. The Gwinnett County Police Accident Investigation Unit is currently investigating this fatal traffic accident that occurred on Oakbrook Parkway between Indian Trail Rd. and Jeurgens Court.

Lyn was a 28 year old male who was driving a white and blue 2007 UD 1800 HD flatbed tow truck owned by Kams Towing Services of Snellville. Lyn was the only occupant of the vehicle at the time of the collision.

According to police, for unknown reasons the driver of the vehicle left the right side of the roadway and struck several trees. The driver died on scene as a result of the injuries sustained in the collision. At this time it appears that speed may have been a contributing cause to the accident. There is no indication that alcohol is involved. The accident scene is in an unincorporated area of Norcross in Gwinnett County.
