After your Christmas rush is over, take a moment to open your doors and let the old year out the back door and the new year in the front. Celebrate the incoming fresh air. New Year’s Eve in the Brazos Valley offers lots of choices for music, dancing, and toasting in honor of the coming year. Reservations are recommended or required in most cases, so verify information before you go and reserve your place for fun. Here are just a few of the New Year celebrations around the Brazos Valley.

Rockin’ Noon Year’s Eve. This one’s just for the kids, on Dec. 31, from 9:00 a.m. to noon at the Children's Museum of the Brazos Valley in Downtown Bryan, Texas. For little ones that can't stay up until midnight but still want to count down to the “Noon Year.” Free with admission to the museum. See the Children’s Museum website or Facebook page for details.

New Year’s Eve Dance and Celebration at Sons of Hermann Lodge in Downtown Bryan. Music by The Westernaires band starts at 8:00 p.m. at the Sons of Hermann Lodge in Bryan, Texas. Usually plenty of room for walk-ins.

Dinner and dancing at Luigi’s Patio Ristorante. Luigi’s Patio Ristorante in College Station, Texas, is hosting its annual New Year’s Eve night of dining and music. Reservations required with Luigi’s Restaurant.

New Year’s Eve party with Billy Mata and the Texas Tradition at Western Club Bar and Grill in Navasota, Texas. Music starts around 8:00 p.m., but be there by 7:00 pm to keep your reservations and avoid losing your reserved seats. Otherwise, open to non-reservations until the hall fills up. Cover charge includes a champagne toast at midnight and breakfast buffet, $30.

Midnight in Paris at Messina Hof Winery in Bryan, Texas. A night of dinner, dancing, and wine at this award-winning winery. Reservations required, check cost and details on the Messina Hof Winery website or Facebook page.

Fritz Hodde and the Fabulous Six Dance. Held at SPJST#18 on Hwy 95 in Elgin, Texas. Mostly polka, with black-eyed peas and cornbread after the dance.

The Jazz Trio at Veritas in College Station. Veritas Wine and Bistro in College Station, Texas, will hold its New Year’s Eve party with Joey McGee and the Greg Tivis trio. Live music from 7:00 p.m. to midnight, party favors, and midnight champagne toast. Check the Veritas New Year’s Eve or Greg Tivis sites for details.

Rockies Nightclub will hold its New Year’s Eve Bash in its new location in Bryan. Champagne toast at midnight. Reservations recommended, $25 for table of four with all others pay at the door until the dancefloor is full. Rockies is now located on The Bend in Bryan, Texas.
