If you're planning on spending the first day of 2013 at Disneyland in California you will want to arrive early. The two parks will be crowded and long lines are expected.
On January 1, 2013, Disneyland Park will open at 8:00am and will remain open until midnight. A Christmas Fantasy Parade will run at 3:00pm and again at 5:30pm. Fantasmic! will be held at both 9:00pm and 10:30pm. The Believe…in Holiday Magic Fireworks Spectacular will light up the skies above the park at 9:30pm.
Disney California Adventure will also open at 8:00am. It will close at 11:00pm. The Pixar Play Parade will run twice, first at 2:30pm and then again at 5:15pm. There will also be two showings of World of Color at Paradise Bay. The first will be at 9:00pm and the second will be at 10:15pm.
If you're headed to the Downtown Disney District you might want to catch a concert at House of Blues. Social Distortion will be performing at 8:00pm.
