New Year's Day 2014 hours at Walt Disney World

The year 2014 should get off to a great start in Central Florida. The forecast calls for a chance of rain and temperatures in the mid to upper 60's. Walt Disney World will be crowded, so arrive early to have a full day of fun.

The Magic Kingdom Park will be open 8:00am-1:00am on New Year's Day. The park will sometimes reach capacity on peak days. Celebrate a Dream Come True Parade will take place at 12:30pm and 3:30pm. Main Street Electrical Parade will run at 9:00pm and 11:00pm. Wishes Nighttime Spectacular will light up the sky at 10:00pm.

Epcot will open at 9:00am on January 1, with World Showcase opening two hours later. The park will remain open until 9:00pm. The day will end with the 9:00pm showing of IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth.

Disney's Hollywood Studios will open at 8:00am on New Year's Day. It will close at 10:00pm. Fantasmic! will be held at 6:30pm, 8:00pm, and 10:00pm.

Disney's Animal Kingdom will start New Year's Day with an Extra Magic Hour at 7:00am for Disney Resort guests. The park will open to everyone at 8:00am, and will remain open until 8:00pm. At 3:45pm Mickey's Jingle Jungle Parade will take place.

Disney Typhoon Lagoon Water Park will be open 10:00am-5:00pm on New Year's Day. Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park is closed for refurbishment and will reopen on March 16, 2014.
