New Year's Day 2013 Outback Bowl: Michigan vs. South Carolina; Vegas odds, pick

Brady Hoke has revived Michigan football, and with a win over South Carolina in the 2013 Outback Bowl, the Wolverines would string together back-to-back Bowl wins for the first time in what seems like forever in Ann Arbor.

South Carolina comes into this game at 10-2, while the Wolverines are 8-4, but don't be fooled by Michigan's record. Three of the Wolverines four losses came against No. 1 Notre Dame, No. 2 Alabama and No. 3 Ohio State, with the Notre Dame and Ohio State games coming down to the last drives.

The Wolverines finished second in the Big 10 Legends division, while South Carolina finished third in the SEC East.

On paper, this looks to be a match-up of Michigan's offense vs. the Gamecocks defense. The recent emergence of the two-headed monster in Michigan of Denard Robinson and Devin Gardner will have their hands full with Jadeveon Clowney and the Carolina defense.

The Las Vegas line on this game is South Carolina -6 and the over/under number is set at 47.5.

These teams are both very talented and will have many guys playing on Sunday's in the future. I see this game coming down to the end, and six points seems like a lot.

Pick: Michigan +6
