What are your resolutions for 2013? January is the month for new beginnings and a time for goal-making. Today as an enthusiastic reader set a goal to read a favorite book, read something different or pick a number of books to read throughout the year.
Reading can increase your intelligence, can teach you how to do something new, and can help you relax on a long winter day.
Perhaps you want to read more non-fiction than fiction this year, I hear do-it-yourself is the best way to beat economic hard times and you can start your own craft business by learning to sew, crochet or make holiday gifts-in-a-jar. You can learn to build a cabinet, tune-up an engine or work a jigsaw.
Doing things yourself can save you money in labor costs and you can have pride in doing a project on your own. Read romance novels, homesteading life, or true survivor stories. Learn how to prepare survival kits for your home, car or when on vacation.
It is always nice to ring in the new year with a good book or two, so set a goal, any goal, and get started.
