It is funny how much we wish each other good things for the new year and make promises and have resolutions lined up but they are either about weight management or vague wishes ...
I would like to see someone have a resolution to communicate more, be more open, more honest with his/her significant other. Wouldn't you?
It would be great to be able to have your loved one saying to you that he/she is going to make a commitment to communicating about his/her feelings and share topics/issues that matter to both of you. He/She would also say that listening would be a skill they are going to pursue.
It would be nice to hear that your loved one is willing to start a new communication regimen, a new communication diet?
It gets old as 2012 is already to sit and wait for him/her to come to you with a new outlook into the relationship, therefore, do not wait any longer for his/her decisions: Make your own and move on.
Ok, let's say that you give yourself some arbitrary date to make your move, shall we? What about January 31st? After that, say goodbye to the one who does not want to communicate; the one who broke his/her "diet" already!!!
Happy 2013!! Happy talks!!
